Simple syrup is an ingredient that is found in a lot of cocktails. I really wanted to give my drinks a more unique flavor so I made two batches of simple syrup: one the was infused with rosemary and the other with mint. I was especially excited about the rosemary since it gives cocktails a holiday feel! Both leave a wonderful aroma in the kitchen and are very easy to make!

Ingredients
-1/2 cup water
-1/2 cup sugar
-4 sprigs rosemary

Ingredients
-1/2 cup water
-1/2 cup sugar
-6 sprigs of mint leaves

Directions
Fill a small pot with 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water. Place either your mint, or the rosemary into the pot (whichever flavor you decide to make). Put on high heat and bring to a boil. Stir occasionally, then reduce to medium-high heat. Once all sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and let sit for 30 minutes. Store in a tight sealing container and place in the refrigerator. Both flavors of simple syrup are great in all sorts of cocktails. Enjoy!
