Since I love mojitos so much, I decided to mix things up a bit and make a flavored, frozen version. This drink is an awesome blend of delicious berries with the same fresh taste of lime and mint that are key ingredients in a normal mojito. This recipe serves about 2!
-6-8 mint leaves
-juice from 1 lime
-1/2 cup frozen blueberries
-1/4 cup frozen blackberries
-1/4 cup frozen raspberries
-1/3-1/2 cup white rum (I prefer Bacardi)
-1/6 cup simple syrup
-1/2 cup ice
utensils: lime squeezer, similar cocktail glass
Cut your lime in half, with lime squeezer, which can be found on amazon, squeeze all juice from lime. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until you reach a smooth consistency throughout. You can use fresh berries, but will need more ice to get the frozen consistency. If you use all frozen fruit the less ice you will need, I find this way to work better. Sometimes I put the blended mixture into the freezer for a few minutes if the final product is not at my desired consistency. I found that a smaller cocktail glass, like the one in my picture, is the perfect size for this frozen treat! Serve into these glasses and enjoy!
